Dr. Harlan Selesnick to Perform Knee Surgery on Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade

Miami Heat Guard Dwyane Wade announced he will no longer be participating in the Olympic Games in London in order to undergo surgery on his left knee, according to a South Florida Sun-Sentinel report. Harlan Selesnick, MD, will perform Mr. Wade's arthroscopic knee surgery. The procedure is expected to sideline Mr. Wade for six to eight weeks.

Dr. Selesnick is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a special interest in arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine and knee joint replacement surgery. He is the team physician for the Miami Heat.
