Dr. Gunnar Andersson Receives NASS' Henry Farfan Basic Science Award

Gunnar Andersson, MD, PhD, received the Henry Farfan Basic Science Award, according to a news release from Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush. The prestigious award is presented by the North American Spine Society and recognizes unique and exceptional research contributions in spine related basic science research.

Dr. Andersson is professor emeritus at Rush University School of Medicine in Chicago, Ill. He has been a leading figure in spine surgery research and education for more than 30 years.
