Crosstrees Medical Obtains U.S. Patent for Spinal Disc Therapy Device

Crosstrees Medical, a Boulder, Colo.-based spine device company, has received a U.S. patent for its spinal disc therapy device, according to a Crosstrees news release. The device was developed to improve the delivery of therapeutic agents into a damaged spinal disc. The devices using Crosstrees Pod technology include a polymer material which is constructed to control the delivery of biomaterials to the body, focusing on treating degenerative spine conditions.

The Crosstrees Pod System is being evaluated in an IDE clinical study for future clearance by the Food and Drug Administration.
