James Andrews, MD, founder of Andrews Institute for Sports Medicine in Pensacola, Fla., performed arthroscopic shoulder surgery on Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Kevin Hart, according to a Los Angeles Times report.
This is the second procedure for Mr. Hart, who underwent surgery for a torn labrum in his pitching shoulder last May. He will begin rehabilitation immediately and is expected to recover and return to play by next season.
