Dr. James Andrews Performs Arthroscopic Shoulder Surgery on Pirates Pitcher Kevin Hart

James Andrews, MD, founder of Andrews Institute for Sports Medicine in Pensacola, Fla., performed arthroscopic shoulder surgery on Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Kevin Hart, according to a Los Angeles Times report. This is the second procedure for Mr. Hart, who underwent surgery for a torn labrum in his pitching shoulder last May. He will begin rehabilitation immediately and is expected to recover and return to play by next season.
