Heinz Hoenecke, MD, team physician for the San Diego Padres, recently performed knee surgery on outfielder Carlos Quentin's right knee, according to an MLB report.
Dr. Hoenecke repaired a meniscus tear in Mr. Quentin's knee. He expects to spend four weeks recovering from the surgery and plans to return to play shortly after the season begins.
