The Center for Orthopaedics at Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg, Pa., received a $50,000 grant from the Williamsport-Lycoming Community Fund to offset construction and renovation costs for the new center, according to North Central PA. The new center will provide care for spine patients, as well as patients with fractures and sports injuries. It will also house the hospital's joint replacement program.

The center is expected to be completed in early 2013.

The grant was one of several given to community projects by the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania totaling more than $440,000.
