Spine

More than 12,000 patients nationwide have received the mild procedure, an outpatient surgery for spine pain treatment. The Cleveland Clinic reported a recent trial finding mild helps patient stand longer and walk farther with less pain over an extended period of time. The study of 40 patients over one year found patients on average went from eight minutes standing to nearly an hour.

The procedure reduces pain and increases mobility for patients with lumbar spinal stenosis. It's an outpatient procedure, does not require general anesthesia or stitches and has a positive response rate of 80 percent.
