Stanley Jones, MD, is a spine surgeon at the Houston Orthopedic & Spine Hospital and the director of spine care services at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston. He's board certified in orthopedic surgery and is an associate clinical professor at the University of Texas Medical School. Dr. Jones performs many spinal procedures, including anterior cervical discectomy and fusion, bursectomy, tumor removal, extreme lateral interbody fusion, fracture repair, lumbar discectomy, lumbar spinal fusion, spine laminectomy and x-stop spinal surgery.
Dr. Jones received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He completed an internship at the University of Utah Medical School in Salt Lake City and a residency at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. Additionally, Dr. Jones was awarded a fellowship to study the lower back at Wellseley Hospital in Toronto, Canada.
He is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and holds membership to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, Houston Orthopedic Society, North American Spine Society, International Intradiscal Therapy Society and American Board of Spine Surgery.
