Spine Device Company Uses Zwick Fatigue to Test Spinal Implants

Spinal Tech

German medical device company Ulrich medical has been using a Zwick GmbH to test servo-hydraulic fatigue for quality control and development of its spine implants, according to an AZ report. The Zwick Amsler H25 testing machine allows spine device manufacturers to perform rigorous fatigue tests on implants to make sure they will be reliable and strong after implanted in patients. The process also includes the testXpert II research software and testControl II control electronics to provide ease of use.

The tests can be simple or complex and simulate the effects of posture change on the implants.
