Orthopedic device company Smith & Nephew has sued Exact Surgical, a distributor for Exactech, for $1 million, alleging the company hired a former Smith & Nephew sales representative who violated non-compete agreements, according to a Mass Device report. According to the report, Steven Dockery left Smith & Nephew earlier this year to work at Exact Surgical. Smith & Nephew now alleges Mr. Dockery violated non-compete agreements in his contract by working with Smith & Nephew customers.
