Scott Hoffinger, MD, formerly the director of orthopedic surgery for Oakland (Calif.) Children's Hospital, has joined CastCoverZ! in an advisory role, according to a Red Orbit report. CastCoverZ! is a leader provider and retailer of case, brace, splint and walking boot covers. Dr. Hoffinger will serve as the company's medical advisor. Dr. Hoffinger has served five times in Iraq as an orthopedic surgeon and served as the consulting orthopedic surgeon for the recently retired TLC reality show "Little People, Big World."
He became the youngest board-certified orthopedic surgeon in the country while completing his residency at Yale Medical Center.
