Stryker has co-founded a coalition of 17 healthcare suppliers with Practice Greenhealth to promote environmentally-friendly preferable healthcare products. The Environmentally Preferable Purchasing Business Leadership Coalition was developed after hospital leaders requested an increased number of products to support their goals of sustainability. The coalition will work to:
• Identify materials of concern and develop more sustainable products
• Devise strategies to reduce environmental impact of medical products
• Educate other institutions and companies about environmental best practices
