Federation of Spine Associations Names Dr. Warren Yu President

The Federation of Spine Associations has named Warren D. Yu, MD, president, according to an AAOS Now report. Dr. Yu is the chief of the spine section in the department of orthopedic surgery and associate professor of orthopedic surgery and neurosurgery at The George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington D.C. He is also the director of spine surgery at George Washington University Hospital. He has a special interest in treating patients with nonfusion procedures, complex spine trauma and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Yu earned his medical degree at Northwestern University Medical School and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles. His additional training includes a fellowship in spine surgery at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland

The organization also named Munish C. Gupta, MD, secretary and treasurer.
