Freddie H. Fu, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, will host the first Buffalo Bills Sports Medicine Symposium Series, according to a news release from UB Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.
The series was made possible by a $1 million gift from the Ralph C. Wilson Foundation to honor the work of the Buffalo Bills team physicians, who practice at UB Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. Dr. Fu will discuss advancements in ACL reconstruction in a lecture targeting orthopedists and medical professionals
Dr. Fu is the chairman of the department of orthopedic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and UPMC. He is team physician for the university's department of athletics and known for pioneering knee and shoulder surgery techniques for treating sports-related injuries. His research focuses on the biomechanics of knee and shoulder injuries.
