Derek Dooley, the head football coach at the University of Tennessee, underwent hip surgery at the Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic at UT Medical Center, according to a CBS Sports report. Russell Betcher, MD, and Greg Mathien, MD, performed the procedure to repair a fracture in Mr. Dooley's hip. Mr. Dooley may coach from the press box, but it is unknown how soon he may return to the sideline.
