J. Richard Steadman, MD, founder and managing partner of The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo., and founder and chairman of the board for The Steadman Philippon Research Institute, was honored at the recent Arthroscopy Association of North America annual meeting. Dr. Steadman received the Richard O'Connor Research Award for his paper titled "Ten Year Survivorship Following Knee Arthroscopy in Patients With Moderate to Severe Osteoarthritis of the Knee."
Dr. Steadman developed the arthroscopic treatment package for patients with osteoarthritis who want to remain more active than a total knee replacement would allow. Co-authors on the paper were Karen Briggs, Lauren Matheny and Henry Ellis, MD.
