Edward C. Sladek, MD, an orthopedic surgeon and former section chief of orthopedic surgery and chief of the department of surgery at Sparrow Hospital in East Lansing, Mich., was inducted into the Sparrow Physician Hall of Fame, according to a Lansing State Journal report. Physicians recognized in the Hall of Fame are nominated by colleagues or community members. Dr. Sladek has a professional interest in joint replacement and sports medicine. He earned his medical degree at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor and completed residencies at the University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City and the University of Texas in Galveston.
Dr. Sladek is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Arthroscopic Association of North America.
