Hospital for Special Surgery, Foot and Ankle Association Organize International Congress on Cartilage Repair of the Ankle

Hospital for Special Surgery, along with a professional lower extremity organization, announced the International Congress on Cartilage Repair of the Ankle, which will take place later this week in Dublin, Ireland. Hospital for Special Surgery teamed with the Ankle and Foot Association of the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy to organize the conference. The conference will include 25 experts from around the world to establish the foundation for international collaboration and innovation in cartilage repair for ankle injuries and conditions.

Additional topics of discussion include the impact of articular cartilage injuries on athletes worldwide, the development of osteoarthritis after a cartilage injury and cartilage tissue engineering and gene therapy.
