Orthopedic Sports Medicine

Portland Trail Blazers center Greg Oden recently underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in Vail, Colo., according to an Oregon Live report. In late 2010, Richard Steadman, MD, co-founder of The Steadman Clinic in Vail, and Don Roberts, MD, a Vancouver-based orthopedic surgeon, performed knee surgery on Mr. Oden's left knee for a microfracture, according to a previous report.

The most recent arthroscopic surgery was conducted on Mr. Oden's right knee to clear debris, but he may also need arthroscopic knee surgery on his left knee over the next week, according to the report. Mr. Oden was also treated for a small blood clot near his left ankle, which was located during the preoperative exam.
