Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children in Dallas has received a $2 million permanent endowment to be used for spine research, fellowships and training. The endowment established the Leuna C. Sullivan, Don L. Hicks and The Gordon Sondland and Katherine J. Durant Foundation Distinguished Chair in Spine. All research, fellowships and training will be at the discretion and in support of the work of the chair.

The endowed chair is held by Daniel Sucato, MD, chief of staff at TSRHC and the director of the Center for Excellence in Spine Research. The chair aims to strengthen the hospital's clinical leadership and benefit patients, staff, residents and fellows.
