Donald Atkins, MD, will be working with the Spine Treatment Centers of America in San Antonio. Dr. Atkins will provide his experience in minimally invasive spinal fusions, minimally invasive technologies, spinal tumors, spinal deformity and adult scoliosis.
He is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and serves as a clinical assistant professor in the department of neurosurgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center.
Dr. Atkins is the co-founder of the Neurological Associates of San Antonio. He earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed a surgical internship at the Dwight David Eisenhower Army Medical Center. He then completed a neurosurgery residency training program at the University of Tennessee-Memphis Semmes Murphey Clinic.
