Dr. Zachariah George Joins Neurological Surgery

Zachariah George, MD, has joined Neurological Surgery, P.C., a Rockville Centre, N.Y.-based private practice of neurosurgeons and allied specialists. Dr. George is a dual-trained in both neurological and orthopedic approaches to the spine. He specializes in minimally invasive surgery of the spine. He treats spinal tumors, spine deformity, scoliosis, kyphosis and spondylolysis in both adults and pediatrics.

He is trained to use minimally invasive technology to treat herniated discs, degenerative spinal disease and spinal tumors. Dr. George has expertise in cervical laminoplasty, total disc arthroplasty and dynamic stabilization techniques as alternatives to spinal fusion.

Dr. George received his medical degree from Update Medical University. He completed an internship in the department of surgery at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He then served has a resident and chief resident in the department of neurosurgery. Dr. George completed a fellowship in complex orthopedic spine surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City.
