Spine Surgeon Leader to Know: Dr. James Macon of Framingham NeuroSpine

James Macon, MD, is the clinical advisor at the MIMS Institute in South Easton, Mass., which is affiliated with the Swivel Port, made by Spine Surgical Innovation. He is a member of Framingham (Mass.) NeuroSpine. Dr. Macon also practices neurological surgery at Milford Regional Medical Center, Newton-Wellesley Hospital and MetroWest Medical Center in Massachusetts.

He received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School in Boston and completed a surgical internship at Stanford University Medical Center in California. Dr. Macon completed a neurosurgical residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and was a Fulbright Scholar at College de France in Paris studying neuropharmacology.

Dr. Macon is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and affiliated with Congress of Neurological Surgeons, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, American Pain Society, International Association of the Study of Pain and American Academy of Pain Medicine.
