NeuroMetrix, a Waltham, Mass.-based medical device company, has received FDA clearance for a pain management system, according to the Boston Herald. The device is a disposable electrode used in conjunction with the company’s SENSUS electrical stimulation device for relief of chronic intractable pain in the lower leg and foot.
The device can be worn under clothing on the upper calf and is easily activated. The FDA clearance is the last step before the device can be marketed in the United States.
