A new study shows a wide array of pain and functional issues among patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis, and patients with enthesitis-related arthritis experience more frequent and intense pain, according to a Healio report. Data was collected on 2,571 patients from the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance Registry. The researchers found that polyarticular rheumatoid factor-negative was the most commonly reported disorder, followed by oligoarticular-persistent and enthesitis-related arthritis.
The patients also reported higher active joint count and NSAID use associated with worse scores, according to the report.
