The Drug Enforcement Administration has scheduled another National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day for late September, which provides people with the ability to safely dispose of unwanted and unused prescription drugs.
At the last National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day in April, 552,161 pounds of unwanted or expired medications were disposed of at the take-back sites across all 50 states. Participants are encouraged to take back their unused prescription drugs to predetermined sites around the country on Sept. 29, 2012.
