Three Orthopedic Surgeons Join Medical Staff at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta has welcomed three orthopedic surgeons to its medical staff, according to a health system news release. John A. Heflin, MD, received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine, where he also completed residency in orthopedic surgery. He completed his fellowship in pediatric orthopedics at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.

Justin R. Kunes, MD, is a graduate of Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine in Rootstown, Ohio, and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine at the University of Kentucky. He completed fellowships in pediatric orthopedic surgery at University Hospitals of Cleveland/Rainbow Babies Health/MetroHealth and in hand and upper extremity surgery at Foundation of Orthopaedic Research and Education/Shriners Hospital in Tampa, Fla.

S. Clifton Willimon, MD, received his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. He completed his fellowship in arthroscopy and hip, knee and shoulder sports medicine at The Steadman Clinic and The Steadman Philippon Research Institute in Vail, Colo.
