David Rockwell, MD, an orthopedic surgeon with Wilmington (N.C.) Orthopaedic Group, recently received the North Carolina Orthopaedic Association's 2011 Honored Surgeon Award, according to a Wilmington Orthopaedic Group news release.
The award honors orthopedic surgeons who promote high standards of orthopedic care and have a dedication to quality patient care and the medical profession. Dr. Rockwell previously practiced with Goldsboro Orthopaedic Associates.
Dr. Rockwell earned his medical degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
