Surgeon Dr. Richard Harrison Joins Viera Sports Medicine and Orthopedic

Richard Harrison, MD, recently joined Viera Sports Medicine and Orthopedic-Greenspoon Orthopaedics in Brevard County, Fla. as an orthopedic hand and upper limb surgeon, according to a report by CentralFloridaMedicine.com. Dr. Harrison served in the military with the AMEDD Professional Management Command of the U.S. Army Reserves as well as Chief of Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery for the U.S. Army Medical Corps at Fort Bragg, N.C. Dr. Harrison was employed to Afghanistan in both 2009 and 2011.

Additionally, Dr. Harrison has presented to many organizations, including the American Society for the Surgery of the Hand, the Federation of the European Societies and Pan American Trauma Society.

He received his MD from Baylor College of Medicine in 2001 and completed his residency in 2006 at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Fla.
