The CORE Institute, a Phoenix-based center for orthopedics, has launched a charitable organization dedicated to supporting orthopedic research and development, according to a news release from The CORE Institute.
The CORE Institute Foundation will support three state-of-the-art research labs in Sun City West, Ariz., where specialists will have a place to conduct scientific research related to orthopedic issues for the purpose of providing continuing education to physicians and healthcare professionals. The Foundation is also focused on providing educational tools to the general public about prevention and treatment of orthopedic conditions.
The Foundation will also develop protocol for orthopedic problems that arise and utilize research labs to act as an independent research lab for private industry projects. It will also assist smaller start-up companies in developing orthopedic products with the opportunity to conduct fair market research and development.
In addition to its research focus, the Foundation will provide community education, events and outreach initiatives related to orthopedic care. The money raised by the Foundation will help pay for patients who are unable to pay for orthopedic care on their own.
