Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Mo., has added orthopedic surgeon Scott Hofer, DO, to Lake Regional Orthopedics, according to Lake News Online. Previously, Dr. Hofer, who is board-certified in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine, was in private practice in Lake Charles, La. He also served in the Army Medical Corps and was chief of orthopedic surgery at Fort Leonard Wood.
He specializes in arthroscopy of the knee and shoulder, sports medicine, total joint replacement, fracture care, lower extremity surgery and management of work-related injuries.
Dr. Hofer earned his medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, Calif., and completed an internship at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans. He finished his residency training at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas.
He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
