The Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the top provider for orthopedics in the U.S. U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Hospitals" evaluates more than 5,000 hospitals and issues rankings based on reputation and measures of quality, such as patient volumes and mortality rates as well as nursing care and technology services. The list also includes rankings for specific categories of care, such as orthopedics, pediatrics and other specialty services.
