Harrison Medical Center plans to break ground on a $25 million orthopedic hospital, according to a Kitsap Peninsula Business Journal report. The facility will include 24 private patient rooms, four operating rooms and space for a second-phase expansion. The hospital, owned by Harrison Medical Center, will be operated by physicians from WestSound Orthopaedics, The Doctors Clinic and Peninsula Orthopaedics, according to the report.

The new orthopedic hospital is part of a $35 million expansion plan approved by Harrison Medical's board in January 2011.
