FBC Device ApS, a Denmark-based medical device company, has received its first United States patent to cover a series of two-piece implants that are designed for natural spinal alignment, according to a FBC Device ApS news release.
The device allows surgeons to work with the patient's individual anatomy to determine the appropriate position for fusion—a state the company calls "Natural Balance." The devices are within the company's Statur line of interbody fusion implants, which are designed to reduce the incidence of adjacent segment disc disease.
