DJO Global Launches New Technology to Combat Knee Pain

Spinal Tech

DJO Global has launched the Empi Active Knee TENS System for treating knee pain, according to a DJO Global news release. The Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation technology uses electrical stimulation to inhibit pain signals from reaching the brain. The Empi Active knee comes with predetermined electrode placement but includes a built-in specialized wrap to accommodate for individual patients' knees.

The Empi Active Back preceded the knee technology, which also uses the company's TENS waveform technology to target back pain.
