The American Joint Replacement Registry now includes data on more than 19,000 procedures, thanks to the addition of data from 11,000 procedures performed at Massachusetts General Hospital, according to an AAOS Now report.
The registry currently includes 80 hospitals, and discussions are underway to boost that number to more than 100. The registry's goal is to enroll 150 additional hospitals in 2012 and 800 next year.
AJRR is also collaborating with joint registries from individual states as well as organizations like the International Society of Arthroplasty Registries and International Congress of Orthopaedic Registries.
Currently, the registry has secured funding through the end of 2013.
