Orchid Holdings recently announced the acquisition Sandvik Medical Solutions, a medical implants and instruments maker for orthopedic and dental implants.
In 2011, SMS had sales of $90 million and currently holds operations in the United Kingdom, India, China and the United States. The acquisition will strengthen Orchid's orthopedic, spine and dental offerings.
