TeDan Surgical Innovations, a Houston-based medical device company, has launched its Phantom Series MIS Anterior Hip Retractor System, according to a company news release.
The system uses adjustable surgical arms with attachable retractors so surgeons can perform a procedure without a fracture table or surgical assistant. The device was developed by Lawrence Menendez, MD, and Daniel Allison, MD, of the University of Southern California Medical Center, and TeDan.
