San Diego-based medical device company KFx has announced the publication of a study on its APPIANFx Femoral Implant for ACL reconstruction, which will be released at the Orthopedic Research Society meeting in February, according to a company news release.
The study is the first report of a biomedical test method that can result and directly quantify the individual displacement components of ACL reconstruction under controlled cyclic and ultimate loading, according to study author Mark Ehrensberger, PhD, an assistant professor at State University of New York at Buffalo.
The new line of implants is designed to reattach tissue to bone in shoulder, knee, foot and ankle procedures.
