SI-BONE has announced that its iFuse Implant system for minimally invasive sacroiliac joint surgery has reached more than 4,000 patients. In 2013 the company expects to treat more than 5,000 additional patients. Surgeons have treated several types of patients, including U.S. Army soldiers and professional athletes with iFuse.
Clinical publications show that the SI joint is a pain generator for up to 22 percent of low back pain patients.
