CMS has added new information to its Electronic Health Record website concerning the appeals process for Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Programs, according to a CMS news release. The CMS Office of Clinical Standards and Quality's Division of Health Information Technology released the first informal review decision for the EHR Incentive Program on Jan. 19, 2012. In February, eligible professionals may access informal review and appeal decisions on the EHR website. Starting in March, providers may find decisions on the Appeals Portal of the EHR website.
