The Florida Orthopaedic Society has expanded its grassroots advocacy program by recruiting orthopedic residents to travel with its delegation to the National Orthopaedic Leadership Conference, according to an AAOS Now report.
At the conference, surgeons and residents learn about leadership, healthcare policy and advocacy methods. The program has helped surgeons and residents understand how decisions they make in practice affect patient populations.
