Dr. Grimes is the chief of the orthopedic surgery department at Flagler Hospital and a founding member of Orthopaedic Associates of St. Augustine. He has a professional interest in sports medicine and joint surgery, according to the report.
Dr. Grimes earned his medical degree at Northeastern Ohio University College of Medicine in Rootstown and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Arthroscopic Association of North America.

James Grimes, MD, an orthopedic surgeon, will now teach Human Anatomy and Physiology I at St. Johns River State College, according to a St. Augustine Record report.
