Here are 18 orthopedic device company partnerships and acquisitions over the past six months.
1. Arthrex partnered with ThermoGenesis to market the ThermoGenesis Res-Q System for autologous platelet-rich plasma and bone marrow concentrate.

2. Bacterin signed a distribution agreement with Jeil Medical to distribute Jeil's LeForte System.

3. Baxter International acquired Synovis, a provider of biologic and mechanical products for soft tissue repair, for $325 million.

4. Cascade Medical Enterprises sold its PRP Technology to Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation.

5. Integra LifeSciences acquired Ascension Orthopedics for $65 million in cash.

6. Medtronic acquired PEAK Surgical for $120 million.

7. Medtronic also acquired Salient Surgical Technologies for orthopedic, spine and thoracic procedures for $525 million.

8. NuVasive, a spine device company, acquired Impulse Monitoring, an intraoperative monitoring provider.

9. Smith & Nephew partnered with Houston-based Essex Woodlands to fund a spinout of its biologics and clinical therapies division.

10. Spine Wave partnered with MB Innovations to develop additional spine products.

11. Stryker entered into an exclusive partnership with RegenLab to distribute Stryker's RegenKit-THT for the preparation of autologous platelet-rich plasma.

12. Stryker acquired medical device company Concentric Medical for $135 million.

13. Symmetry Medical acquired the surgical implants business Codman & Shurtleff from Johnson & Johnson.

14. Synthes shareholders approved the $21.3 billion acquisition by Johnson & Johnson.

15. Wright Medical Group entered into an agreement with ArthroCare to distribute devices associated with its soft tissue fixation of the foot and ankle.

16. Zimmer acquired Memphis-based ExtraOrtho, which includes the external fixation line XtraFix External Fixation System.

17. Zimmer also signed a distribution agreement for Benvenue Medical's Kiva vertebral compression fracture treatment system.

18. Zimmer acquired Synvasive Technology, which produces the eLIBRA Dynamic Knee Balancing System and STABLECUT surgical saw blades.
