In a recent review article published in the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, researchers found that new drugs aimed at providing more targeted therapy could allow psoriatic arthritis patients to avoid progressing to end-stage joint destruction.
There are also some patients would benefit from a surgical procedure.

New medications or biologic agents targeting T-cells may have a significant benefit for patients with psoriatic arthritis, according to an American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons news release.
