Here are ten statistics on the earnings of occupational therapists from the Bureau of Labor Statistics' Occupational Outlook Handbook: 2010-2011 Edition.


1. Median annual earnings of occupational therapists was $69,630 in May 2009.  
2. Median annual earnings of the lowest 10 percent was $45,340.
3. Median annual earning of the highest 10 percent was $100,430.
4. Median annual earnings of those employed by general medical and surgical hospitals was $71,300.
6. Median annual earnings of those employed by offices of other healthcare practitioners was $72,970.
7. Median annual earnings of those employed by nursing care facilities was $75,710.
8. Median annual earnings of those employed by elementary and secondary schools was $63,190.
9. Median annual earnings of those employed by home health care services was $81,360.
10. The top paying state for occupational therapists was California, where mean annual earnings was $82,610.
